life is filled with problems, wars, poverty, high rate of suicide and divorce and many other negative moods in the air. How are we supposed to keep ourselves positive and away from all the negative thoughts?
It’s not easy but with some effort it is possible.
In our busy way of life, we take everything for granted. Sometimes we forget about the good things that we have in our lives. Things like our health, our house, the food we are able to eat, the people we love and are safe and sound around us or many other things that we have and at the same time have forgotten about it.
So, every day that you wake up try to be grateful for one thing and be happy about it. You can keep a journal or even have a partner for this to text, email or even talk about it.
Don’t give up and be patient
With so many negativities around us, it is not easy to be positive or stay that way. The least that you can do is not to let any negativity enter your mind. Stop judging others or even yourself. Stop complaining about your work or colleagues. Every time that something negative comes to your mind blow it away with one gratitude and happy memory.
Your mind and your body are in a very interesting relationship. If you want to think positive, then have a positive posture. Try standing up straight, shoulders back, chin held high, stretching your arms out as wide as they can go. Feel powerful.
Another way that helps you to be positive is smiling. Your physical posture can trick your mind, so even if you are not in the mood for smiling just pretend and you will be amazed how it works. Try to smile while you work or drive or even walk in the street. It can be the best free gift that you give to others.
Surround yourself with positive people
If you are constantly surrounded by people who are negative, then it is hard for you to stay positive. Either try to change the negative subject they bring out or leave them alone with their thoughts.
Do something kind
Doing something good will always give us a good feeling. Take every day a chance for doing something good for others. Call a family member or friend in need of a kind word, compliment a stranger, go out of your way to help a co-worker complete a task.
Life is not easy and it is even harder to stay positive in it but don’t give up and try to stay happy and content in order to live your life much easier.
