We all like to eat between meals to fulfill our appetite which we call them snacks. If we are not careful about the kind of snacks we take or eat then we will be overweight.

So, what are the good snacks that can be used without worrying about our size?

Here are some hints for you to consider.


Almonds or nuts

Among nuts, almonds are the best ones to keep you full and the more you chew your almond the longer you feel full and don’t want to eat anything else. Besides, almonds are a good source of fiber for you too.



If you suddenly have thirst for fruits, it’s better to choose grapefruits.

Grapefruit’s "diet food" rep might be justified: one study found that when people simply ate grapefruit with each meal, they lost up to 3 1/2 pounds over three months. Grapefruit may help manage appetite by lowering insulin levels, say researchers.



If you roast them and add some flavor to them then chickpeas are wonderful snacks that not only give you the fiber needed for your body but they also have some protein and are even good for your watching weight.



To have a good snack of grapes put them in the freezer and then when you like to have a snack then go for it and bring them out. You will have a delicious snack for your appetite.



Believe it or not, giving yourself little treats may be the secret to losing weight—for good. Aiming to be “too good” sets you up to fail. Losing weight doesn't mean giving up the foods you love.



Popcorn is high in fiber, low in fat and delivers some protein. A 1-ounce serving (about 3 cups) of air-popped popcorn has 4 grams of fiber, almost 4 grams of protein, just over 1 gram of fat and clocks in at 110 calories. This combination makes it a snack with staying power.



A snack that is calcium-rich is yogurt. If you like the combination of yogurt and fruits, then go ahead and add pieces of your favorite fruits to a low-fat yogurt and enjoy your snack. Yogurt with fruit delivers calcium and fiber, plus protein and gut-healthy probiotics.


Dried fruit

Dried fruit is a portable, healthy snack. Eating fruit helps with weight-loss because it's packed with filling fiber (and important vitamins and minerals). Look for fruit with no sugar or sweeteners added and pair dried fruit with nuts for a snack with a balance of healthy carbs and protein.
