There is a spooky word called ‘Haunted’.

What does it mean?

It means when a place or a person is captured by spirits and ghosts.

When we say a person is haunted it means that the person’s soul is under a ghost control.

If a place is called a haunted place, then that place is a space where ghosts are the main habitats.

There are some places in the world that are famous for being haunted.

Let’s look at five haunted places around the world.

Bhangarh Fort – Rajasthan

The fort is in India and it is said that there was a black magic sorcerer who cursed the residents of the palace that they all would die an unnatural death and their spirits will stay there for centuries to haunt the fort forever.

This fort would really freak any living mortal. The houses that are built there or near the place have no roof because if they are built they will collapse immediately and for this reason, nobody lives in there.

Highgate Cemetery, North London – England

Highgate Cemetery in England is one of the most freaking places. There are headless statues, creaky pathways and the hooting of owls are the features that make it frightening for people who may be brave enough to visit.

A shivery silence controls the whole area and is a great place for ghosts to maneuver there.

Screaming Tunnel, Niagara Falls – Ontario

There is a tunnel located beneath the railway track that connects Niagara Falls to Toronto and New York. It is said that over a century ago there was a farmhouse near the tunnel and for no found reason it caught fire and a young girl who lived there caught fire and screams for help and runs out of the house until finally she is completely burned and dies.

It is said if a person is in the tunnel and lights up a match the spirit of the girl will show up screaming at that person and haunts them till they die. You can try it if you are brave enough.

Changi Beach – Singapore

The beach is believed that it had been a killing ground for Chinese soldiers by Japanese. They were tortured and killed there and it is believed that the sounds of their screaming and crying can be heard at nights.

Also, some pits can be found with headless bodies at nights too.

Monte Cristo, New South Wales - Australia

Monte Cristo mansion was owned by a woman who lost her husband and then she stayed in her mansion and didn’t come out of it only for one time for 23 years when she finally died.

People still can hear screaming and crying from the mansion and if they enter they can’t breathe easily as if spirits are trying to enter their body.

Believe it or not, you can take the risk and go to the places and see it for yourself.
