Have you ever wondered what English words have been googled most? Here we are with the answer.

 

Pretentious

It means to express yourself in an exaggerated way.

Example:

Sally looks gorgeous tonight. She is always pretentious of being beautiful.

Mark always talks about his car in a pretentious way, as if he is the only one having a car.

 

Ubiquitous

Present everywhere and anytime, constantly encountered, widespread

Example:

Alice is a ubiquitous person. Whenever you want to see her, she’s somewhere around.

The food you want to serve at your party is ubiquitous. Don’t worry you can find it anywhere.

 

Love

Strong feeling that two people have for each other, or a strong feeling of someone for something.

Example:

Kevin loves his wife very much. The minute he finishes his work he goes straight to his house.

Darin loves dogs. That’s why he has two dogs at home.

 

Cynical

contemptuously distrustful of human nature and motives

 example:

Our boss has cynical thoughts. He always thinks that we are all doing something behind him.

Her mother in law is cynical so she never goes to her house.

 

Apathetic

Meaning no feelings or concerns, indifferent

Example:

After the accident Bill is apathetic. He doesn’t care about anybody.

Sally is an apathetic person. She doesn’t care if her job is finished on time.

 

Conundrum

A difficult problem, a hard problem to solve.

Example:

David was always the smart one in class. He could solve all kinds of conundrums.

I hate conundrums because I have to think a lot to solve them.

 

Albeit

Although, even though.

Example:

You can have some meat during the day albeit in a small quantity.

He is not rich albeit he shops a lot.

 

Ambiguous

Something that is not very clear

Example:

Sometimes our teacher explains the subject in an ambiguous way.

Sherry answered my question but she was very ambiguous.

 

Integrity

Firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values: incorruptibility.

Example:

Our boss is very serious about integrity at work.

Integrity is our number one policy at home.
