Know more about Antecedents and how they are used in English

In this article, we will discuss the ways in which to know and use antecedents. Antecedents are the things that exist before and precede other things as the logical format of process deems necessary. Overall, Antecedents are hard to break down in find explanation one liner. Therefore, here we look at instances, formations, and examples of antecedents in order to break them down properly. Before anything, there is what is known as pronoun-antecedents, which come in the form of agreements, as pronouns represent nouns. For example, instead of saying Prime Minister Trudo addressed Canadians with Trudo’s speech, we say Prime Minister Trudo addressed Canadians with his speech since the pronoun his can replace Trudo automatically. Therefore, it is clear that antecedents are words that can stand on behalf of pronouns. The rule farther extends, as singular nouns have to be replaced by singular pronouns, while Plural nouns must be replaced by plural pronouns. Other rules are also part of this equation. For instance, indefinite pronouns can also replace antecedents, as the following example shows: Every (singular) cashier processes a lot of products on his or her (singular) register. As well, when the object of a proposition cannot be countable, then the correct usage is singular, like the following example: all of our coffee spilled out of its container. Further, all plural forms of a proposition must also be followed by plural pronouns in order for antecedents to work properly.
